Every morning, the first thing I do is make coffee and sit in my favorite recliner. But for the longest time, I had nowhere to put my mug, my book, or my glasses. I'd balance everything on the armrest like some kind of circus act. Not ideal.
Then I found this chairside table with the most gorgeous two-tone finish — light brown on top with that perfectly distressed rustic black base. It has this wire mesh door on the bottom that reveals a shelf inside, which is where I keep my extra candles and a cozy blanket for those chilly evenings. The nickel drawer pull is such a small detail but it adds so much character.
I placed it right next to my taupe recliner, and now my morning routine feels so much more intentional. There's my coffee mug with steam curling up, my reading glasses resting on whatever novel I'm halfway through, and a little candle that makes the whole corner smell like vanilla and cedar. The olive green blanket draped over the arm of the recliner, the white shiplap wall behind, and that warm floor lamp with the amber shade — it all comes together in this perfectly imperfect farmhouse moment. This isn't a magazine photoshoot. This is real life, and I wouldn't change a thing.
