Living in a loft comes with its own set of design challenges — exposed brick, concrete floors, high ceilings, and the constant feeling that your furniture needs to be "industrial enough" to belong. This round side table with its heather greige top, black steel frame, and wire grid shelves was basically made for my space.
The greige wood tone warms up the black steel perfectly, and the wire grid shelves are this brilliant mix of open and structured storage. I styled the top with my black ceramic coffee mug, a stack of design books with a cream cover (because contrast), and a trailing pothos plant that's decided to make itself at home by spilling over the edge. The upper wire shelf holds a black basket with my grey blanket. The lower shelf displays more books and a black metal candle holder.
The charcoal linen sofa with its cream cable knit pillow sits against an exposed brick wall in warm red-brown tones — the texture combination of brick, wire grid, and knit is honestly so satisfying. The polished concrete floor, the industrial floor lamp with its exposed bulb, and the mix of warm ambient light and cool daylight from those large industrial windows — it all creates this perfectly balanced industrial-meets-cozy atmosphere that makes coming home the best part of my day.
