Every living room has that one spot — the awkward gap between the sofa and the wall, or in my case, between the recliner and the corner. For years I just left it empty because nothing fit. Regular side tables were too wide, round tables left weird gaps, and I was about to give up. Then I discovered wedge tables, and honestly, where have these been all my life?
This triangular wedge table in rustic brown slides right into the corner like it was made for it. Because it IS made for it. That's the whole point. The wedge shape fills that triangular gap perfectly, and suddenly dead space becomes the most functional corner in the room. My coffee mug sits on top (with steam rising, because the photo timing was perfect), the TV remote is within arm's reach, and a little potted ivy trails over the edge bringing everything to life.
The lower shelf holds my folded throw blanket and reading glasses in their brown leather case. The recliner is slightly reclined — not staged, just how I actually use it every day — with a cream cable knit blanket and a burgundy pillow. The warm beige wall, the vintage metal clock, the braided rug, and that soft afternoon light through sheer curtains — this is my real living room, and it finally feels complete.
